PEORIA, Ill. — NE Adams Street at Woodlawn Avenue in Peoria was blocked in both directions early Thursday morning due to an accident.
The crash was reported just before 6 a.m. in the area just north of the Adams/Jefferson split, near Komatsu.
Peoria Police confirmed to news partner 25 News that the accident caused a gas leak and Ameren was called to the scene for a pole down.
It’s unclear how many vehicles were involved, if there were any injuries, or if anyone was evacuated.
Motorists were asked to use Madison between Van Buren Street and Spitznagle Avenue as an alternative route.
