PEORIA, Ill. — A second suspect has been arrested in connection with a late January shooting that left one person dead in Peoria.
25-year-old Jamere Laster was found by United States Marshals Fugitive Task Force Officers in Grand Prairie, Texas on Feb. 22.
Laster was arrested in Texas without incident for outstanding warrants not related to the homicide investigation. He was then transported to Peoria County Jail on March 12.
Laster was then arrested for Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm in connection with the homicide that occurred on Jan. 29 in the area of the 3200 block of SW Adams St.
The first suspect, 19-year-old Dearian Patterson, was arrested in connection with the homicide on Feb. 9.
