PEORIA, Ill. — The Peoria City/County Health Department Tuesday reported 35 patients with COVID-19 were in area hospitals, up from Monday’s total of 27.
11 of the patients in area hospitals on Tuesday were in intensive care, while the rest are in non-ICU beds.
Overall, the tri-county Tuesday reported 70 new COVID-19 cases throughout the area.
38 new cases were reported in Peoria County, 21 came up in Tazewell County, and 11 new cases are residents of Woodford County.
On the bright side, no new deaths were reported to any tri-county residents in the last 24 hours.
Region 2 metrics as a whole were holding steady, with the seven-day positivity rate at 2.8% and ICU bed capacity at 29%.
