SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) Saturday reported 1,675 new confirmed and probable cases of COVID-19, including 23 additional deaths.
In the past 24 hours, laboratories have collected 77,505 specimens to be tested.
As of Friday night, 1,082 individuals were hospitalized with COVID-19. 235 patients with coronavirus were in the ICU, and 95 patients were on ventilators.
The preliminary seven-day statewide test positivity rate from March 6-12, was 2.6%.
On Friday, 152,697 vaccines were administered, the highest one day total to date.
A total of 3,943,970 vaccines have been administered in the state as of Friday night.
