SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — At current rates, the state of Illinois on Monday will have vaccinated 4 million people for COVID-19.
Close to 3.8 million have been vaccinated, and the rolling seven-day vaccination rate as of Friday was just over 95,000.
A total of 1,763 people between Thursday and Friday received positive test results. 39 died of the virus.
1,138 virus patients throughout the state as of Thursday night were in hospital beds. 240 of them were in intensive care units, while 108 needed ventilators.
Labs throughout the state collected 93,913 specimens to test.
