PEORIA, Ill. — Two people and their pets escaped a house fire in Peoria early Friday morning.
Fire Battalion Chief Clint Kuhlman said fire broke out just before 4:30 a.m. in the 2600 block of W. Antoinette.
Upon arrival, crews found the single-story home fully engulfed in flames. It took about 20 minutes for firefighters to knock it down.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire remained under investigation.
Damage is estimated at $85,000.
