PEORIA, Ill. — The same number of hospital beds being occupied locally on Thursday by COVID-19 patients were being occupied on Friday.
24 virus patients of Peoria, Tazewell, and Woodford Counties as of Friday afternoon were hospitalized. Seven of them were in intensive care.
The area had 84 new positive cases: 43 in Peoria, 38 in Tazewell, and three in Woodford.
No area residents died during the reporting period from the virus.
Metrics for the greater Region Two trended slightly in the wrong direction.
ICU bed availability dropped a percentage point, to 30%.
The number of COVID patients throughout the region in hospital beds increased by two.
Rolling seven-day positivity rate provided the lone bright spot, dropping from 2.7% to 2.6%.
