PEORIA, Ill. — ShaZam Racing Saturday at 8:00 a.m. will hold the annual Blarney Blitz 5K.
There will be some traffic intersections impacted by the race, including numerous intersections on Water St. and Adams St in downtown Peoria.
According to Peoria Police Public Information Officer Amy Dotson, the following intersections will be impacted between 7:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m.:
- Walnut and Water
- Water and Harrison
- Water and Liberty
- Water and Main
- Water and Hamilton
- Water and Eaton (near Riverplex)
- Washington and Eaton
- Adams and Bryan
- Adams and Green
- Adams and Wayne
- Adams and Spring
Peoria Police ask that drivers on Saturday allow extra time to reach their destination as there will be increased pedestrian traffic.
The race will be run in waves of 50 participants or less to comply with Illinois Department of Public Health Phase 4 safety guidelines.
