SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — With over 104,000 doses of the various COVID-19 vaccines administered between Tuesday and Wednesday throughout Illinois, the state has inched almost to a rolling seven-day average of 100,000 vaccines.
95,369 on Wednesday became the daily average. A total of 3,567,927 vaccines have been administered.
1,682 people during the reporting period tested positive for the virus. Of them, 30 were in intensive care.
Statewide hospitalizations as of Tuesday night were 1,157, with 242 of those patients in intensive care, and 111 on ventilators.
Labs throughout Illinois took in 71,488 specimens to be tested.
