SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) Saturday reported 2,565 new confirmed and probable cases of COVID-19, as well as 50 additional deaths.
Laboratories have collected 79,248 specimens for testing in the past 24 hours.
As of Friday night, 1,210 individuals were hospitalized with COVID-19. 261 coronavirus patients were in the ICU, and 108 patients were on ventilators.
The preliminary seven-day statewide test positivity is 2.8%.
A record of 134,239 vaccine doses were administered in the state Friday, bringing the state total to 3,259,664 vaccines administered.
