SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — More than 3 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been received by Illinoisans.
With a record 131,882 doses administered between Thursday and Friday, the Illinois Department of Public Health reported the number of total doses given has now surpassed 3.1 million.
1,442 people during the reporting period tested positive. 33 died.
A total of 1,166 hospital beds throughout the state as of Thursday night were being occupied by people with the virus. 263 of them were in intensive care, while 121 were on ventilators.
Labs throughout the state collected 103,336 specimens to be tested.
