PEORIA, Ill. — The Peoria City/County Health Department on Wednesday reported for the second day in a row no new deaths in the area related to COVID-19.
Peoria, Tazewell, and Woodford combined for 61 new cases. 38 of those are Peoria County residents, while 15 live in Tazewell, and the other eight are in Woodford.
Area hospitalizations decreased, from 38 to 35. Nine of the 35 were intensive care.
For the greater Region Two, hospitalizations actually increased by one, from 115 Tuesday to 116.
Meanwhile, the rolling seven-day positivity rate remained at 3.8%, the same number as Tuesday.
ICU bed availability for the region increased by a percentage point, from 29% to 30%.
