SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) Saturday reported 1,922 new confirmed and probable cases of COVID-19, including 42 additional deaths.
As of Friday night, 1,551 individuals in Illinois were hospitalized with COVID-19. 351 patients were in the ICU, and 171 patients with coronavirus were on ventilators.
The preliminary statewide test positivity rate is 3.2%.
As of Friday night, 2,138,519 COVID-19 vaccines have been administered across the state. 77,813 vaccines were administered Friday.
