PEKIN, Ill. — Pekin Police were called at approximately 11:54 p.m. Tuesday to the 100 block of Sapp Street on reports of a man being stabbed.
Public Information Officer Billie Ingles said that a male suspect fled the scene. It was determined that the two males knew each other and the incident was not a random act.
“It is believed that the two individuals were involved in a mutual fight,” Ingles said.
Pekin Police have identified the suspect and are following up on leads.
Ingles said there is no immediate threat or danger to the community.
