MORTON, Ill. — Morton School District 709 Friday announced five students were positive with COVID-19, a seven student decrease from the previous week.
Student quarantines were up slightly from the same time period with 92 students out Friday, compared to 73 last week.
One staff member was positive with coronavirus, compared to zero the previous week.
Five staff members were in quarantine, the same number as last week.
The majority of the district’s quarantines have been driven by exposure, not actual symptoms, according to Superintendent Jeffrey W. Hill.
