PEORIA, Ill. — Tazewell County was hit hard by COVID during the Thursday-Friday reporting period, as four residents died.
Two women in their 90s from Pekin Manor were among the casualties, as were a woman in her 50s who lived at Lakeside Rehab and Healthcare and a man in his 90s whose living situation was not reported.
119 new cases were reported throughout the Peoria-Tazewell-Woodford tri-county. 83 of them were Peoria County residents, 31 were Tazewell, and the other five were in Woodford.
Hospitalization numbers remained identical to Thursday’s numbers. 37 area beds were being occupied, with 11 of them in intensive care units.
Region Two metrics were not all positive, but not alarming.
The rolling seven-day positivity rate ticked up, from 4.5% to 4.6%. Rolling seven-day ICU bed availability decreased from 31% to 30%.
Six fewer hospital beds were being occupied throughout the region by people with COVID.
