SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — The amount of COVID-19 vaccines administered between Tuesday and Wednesday to Illinoisans reached a number significantly higher than the daily average.
62,923 doses were given. The most recent rolling seven-day average stood at 55,135.
A total of 2,825 people during the reporting period received positive test results. 53 died.
Statewide hospitalizations stood at 2,082. Of them, 464 were in intensive care, while 232 were using ventilators to breathe.
