PEORIA, Ill. — A Peoria County man in his 70s passed away between Wednesday and Thursday from COVID-19 complications.
134 area residents received positive test results, as well. Peoria County accounted for 74, while Tazewell had 52, and Woodford had eight.
39 people as of Thursday afternoon were in area hospitals, 13 of whom were in intensive care units.
All of Region Two’s metrics remained in good stead for staying in phase four of Restore Illinois. Region ICU bed availability remained at 26%, one fewer COVID patient was hospitalized, and rolling seven-day positivity rate decreased to 5.2%.
