PEORIA, Ill. — Peoria Police responded around 8:15 p.m. Friday to the area of the 700 block of S. Western regarding two ShotSpotter alerts.
Public Information Officer Amy Dotson said 10 rounds were fired.
Officers found a male victim with a gunshot wound to the neck in the 1900 block of W. Ann Street.
The victim was transported to a hospital with serious injuries.
An investigation is ongoing.
