SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — For a third 24-hour period in a row, Illinois between Thursday and Friday broke its own record for COVID-19 doses given.
58,357 people during that time received a shot.
Illinois Department of Public Health said 4,156 people received positive test results, while 71 died.
The statewide hospitalization count as of Thursday night was 2,735. 532 of those patients were intensive care-level, while 297 of them were using ventilators to help them breathe.
Labs took in 111,057 specimens to be tested.
