PEORIA, Ill. — Three area residents died between Thursday and Friday from COVID-19, while 116 tested positive.
Peoria City/County Health Department said a woman in her 80s from Peoria County died, as did a woman of the same demographic from Tazewell, to go along with a man in his 60s.
70 of the new cases were Tazewell residents, 42 were Peoria, and the other four were Woodford.
51 people were in area hospitals with the virus or suspected cases of it. Of them, 16 were intensive care-level.
The hospitalization count on Thursday was 57.
ICU bed availability, the amount of COVID hospitalizations, and rolling seven-day positivity rate for Region Two all remained well in the green.
