PEORIA, Ill. — The Peoria City/County Health Department reported two Peoria County deaths occurred between Monday and Tuesday related to COVID-19.
A woman in her 70s with underlying conditions passed away, as did a woman in her 90s who lived at Proctor Place.
106 residents of Peoria, Tazewell, and Woodford Counties during that time tested positive. 43 Peoria residents tested positive, 50 of those tests were in Tazewell, and the remaining 13 reside in Woodford.
66 area hospital beds were being used for COVID patients or patients who were suspected to have it. 12 of them were in intensive care units.
ICU bed availability, seven-day positivity rate, and the number of COVID patients in hospitals throughout Region Two all declined from their Monday numbers.
