SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) Monday reported fewer than 3,000 new COVID-19 cases across the state in addition to 49 new deaths.
Overall, 2,944 cases were reported across Illinois.
In the last 24 hours, laboratories have reported 74,202 specimens for a total of more than 15 million since the pandemic began.
As of Sunday night, 2,962 in Illinois were hospitalized with COVID-19. Of those, 601 were in the ICU and 302 were on ventilators.
According to IDPH, 692,763 vaccines have been administered thus far.
The preliminary seven-day statewide test positivity is under 5% at 4.7%.
