SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — The Illinois Department of Public Health Saturday reported 5,152 new confirmed and probable cases of COVID-19, including 97 additional deaths.
Within the past 24 hours, laboratories have collected 110,178 specimens to be tested.
As of Friday night, 3,121 people were hospitalized due to coronavirus. 644 patients were in the ICU, and 338 individuals were on ventilators.
The seven-day statewide positivity rate is 6.0%.
IDPH is currently reporting 657,820 vaccines have been administered.
