SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — Illinois as a state during the most recent reporting period saw 4,822 new cases of COVID-19 and 107 deaths.
3,284 hospital beds as of Tuesday night were being occupied by COVID patients. 722 of them were in intensive care, and 379 were on ventilators for breathing assistance.
Labs throughout the state collected 86,121 specimens to be tested for the virus.
On average for the last seven days, 21,869 vaccine doses have been administered per day.
