SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 4,162 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, including 29 additional deaths.
As of midnight Saturday, 3,408 people were hospitalized for COVID-19. Of those patients, 720 were in intensive care and 387 were on ventilators.
Illinois labs conducted 96,845 tests between Saturday and Sunday.
The state’s seven-day rolling positivity rate is 6.1%.
