WEST PEORIA, Ill. — Peoria Firefighter/Paramedics were joined by many other companies in responding around 8:40 Wednesday morning to a fire at 725 N. Swords Ave. following a request for assistance from the West Peoria Fire Department.
All residents were out of the house when crews arrived.
Personnel from Bartonville, Limestone, and Peoria Heights were also called to the scene.
Crews said they would be using a hydrant in the area in attempting to extinguish the blaze.
The fire was contained around 9:05.
Ameren personnel were on the scene to assess the situation.
