CREVE COEUR, Ill. — It remains unclear what caused an early morning garage fire that spread to a Creve Coeur home Wednesday morning.
The East Peoria Deputy Fire Chief told news partner 25 News the call came in just before 4 a.m. Wednesday in the 200 block of Glen Oak.
The Deputy Chief said a couple of vehicles were fully engulfed when crews arrived, with the fire spreading to the house from the garage.
Two people got out safely.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
The garage and home suffered extensive damage, though it is not clear if the home is a total loss.
