PEORIA,Ill. — For 20 years, 93.3 The Drive, has been championing OSF Healthcare Children’s Hospital of Illinois in Peoria.
Drive morning hosts John Riley and Nancy Flagg would typically be broadcasting live from the hospital lobby Friday, but COVID-19 has changed that.
Due to Tier 3 mitigation and safety concerns, 140 plus volunteers, phone bank workers and others will stay connected with Riley and Flagg via Zoom during Friday’s radiothon.
Riley talked with WMBD News about The Drive’s ongoing involvement with Children’s Hospital.
“We’ve kind of been the point man for raising money for this amazing institution and telling the stories of the families, our families and your family,” Riley said.
93.3 The Drive’s John and Nancy are taking donations from their studios for the Drive For Miracles benefiting OSF Healthcare Children’s Hospital of Illinois until 5 p.m. Friday.
