PEORIA, Ill. — The Peoria Area Convention and Visitors Bureau is teaming up with ArtsPartners of Central Illinois for a new campaign called “The 12 Days of Carry-out”.
The project is designed to promote a local restaurant each day Dec. 10-21, as a way to boost their carry-out business, according to PACVB President and CEO JD Dalfanso.
“But, it will also show a sense of connectivity to local non-profits that are also struggling during this pandemic,” Dalfanso said.
20% of carry-out proceeds from each of the restaurants will benefit a local non-profit that they’re paired up with.
Dalfanso says when ordering, patrons should make sure to mention it’s for “The 12 Days of Carry-out”.
“The restaurants and dedicated employees there will know that debt will go to the designated non-profit for that day,” Dalfanso said.
Patrons of the 12 Days of Carry-out are also urged to use #12DaysofCarryout! on social media to help promote it.
