EAST PEORIA, Ill. — East Peoria’s Festival Of Lights Winter Wonderland drive-through display is now open to the public.
Officials say 25,000 cars are expected to drive through the light show this year. Drivers should expect traffic delays near Springfield Road each night.
Proceeds from the Winter Wonderland each year funds the following year’s festival and pays the electricity bill.
Festival of Lights officials ask local residents to visit the Winter Wonderland Sunday through Thursday, when the lines aren’t as long.
The Winter Wonderland is open every night until January 3.
