PEORIA, Ill. — For a second straight day, the Peoria City/County Health Department on Wednesday reported 10 deaths throughout Peoria, Tazewell, and Woodford Counties.
Tazewell accounted for three of them.
Two of the deceased, a female in her 70s and a male in his 90s, were not reported to be long-term care residents. A woman died who was in her 80s and lived at Apostolic Christan Restmor in Morton.
Four of Peoria’s seven deaths came from Christian Buehler. Three of them were of females in their 90s, and the other was a woman in her 80s.
A woman in her 80s passed away who lived at Heritage Health. A male in his 80s and a woman in her 60s who did not live in long-term care also passed away.
A total of 373 tri-county residents between Tuesday and Wednesday tested positive. 181 of the positives were in Tazewell, 147 were in Peoria, and the other 47 were in Woodford.
196 area residents were in local hospitals with the virus. 53 of them were intensive care-level.
The area’s recovery rate dropped slightly, going down to 67.11%.
Region Two’s rolling seven-day positivity rate decreased for an eighth straight day, falling to 14.4%.
