SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — Illinois Department of Public Health reported 11,891 new confirmed and probable cases of COVID-19, including 127 more deaths, in the 24-hour reporting period between Friday and Saturday.
6,175 people were in Illinois hospitals as of Friday night with coronavirus.
1,173 of those patients were in intensive care, and 595 were on ventilators.
Over the past 24 hours, 120,284 specimens have been collected for testing, as the total inches closer to 10 million.
The rolling seven-day positivity rate was 11.5%.
