PEORIA, Ill. — 11 area residents died between Thursday and Friday from COVID-19 complications.
Woodford County experienced the deaths of two Apostolic Christian residents. One was a male in his 90s and the other was a woman in her 100s.
Additionally, a Snyder Village of Metamora resident in his 80s died.
Tazewell County reported eight deaths.
Four were not associated with long-term care: a male in his 50s, a male in his 90s, a female in her 60s, and one in her 80s.
Meanwhile, the Peoria City/County Health Department reported the deaths of a woman in her 60s who lived at Hallmark House in Pekin, a woman in her 80s who lived at Apostolic Christian Restmor in Morton, a female in her 90s from Washington Supportive Living, and a man in his 80s who lived at Generations at Riverview.
321 more residents of Peoria, Tazewell, and Woodford Counties found out they have coronavirus.
151 live in Tazewell, 124 are Peoria residents, and 46 reside in Woodford.
Area hospitalizations have gone below 200, as 171 people as of Friday afternoon were in area hospital beds because of the virus. 41 of those cases were in intensive care.
For the third straight day, Region Two’s rolling seven-day positivity rate decreased. As of Friday, that number was 16.6%.
The area’s recovery rate slightly decreased, sitting at 69.1%.
