MORTON, Ill. — While many students are out of the classroom in Morton schools, the numbers are lower than they were a week ago.
Last week, 332 students were out of class due to mandated quarantines, according to Superintendent Jeffrey Hill. This week, that number has decreased to 253.
Of those 253 students, 95 are in the high school.
The number of staff members out due to quarantines remained the same as the previous week at 38.
The district is reminding parents and students not to go to school if test results have not been received after a COVID-19 test.
“This is not only in your best interests but consistent with the goal we should all share of trying to protect others,” said Hill in a news release.
