Fulton County Coroner Steve Hines has ID’ed the deceased man as 26-year-old Justin Hammack.
Hines said Hammack was shot in the chest.
UPDATE: Fulton County Sheriff Jeff Standard confirms to news partner 25 News an autopsy has been scheduled for later this morning.
No identification has been released.
Illinois State Police continue to handle the investigation.

LEWISTOWN, Ill. — The Fulton County Sheriff confirms a 26-year-old white male was injured around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday in an officer-involved shooting in Lewistown.
The incident occurred near the Broadway Arms Apartments on Broadway Street.
The man, according to Sheriff Jeff Standard, was wanted on a warrant.
News partner 25 News reports that the man brandished a weapon before pointing it at officers. That is when officers fired.
Officers rendered aid to the man, who was taken to Graham Hospital in Canton.
A weapon was recovered on scene.
Illinois State Police are handling the investigation.
