SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) Tuesday reported 3,714 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the state, including 41 additional deaths.
The preliminary seven-day statewide positivity rate increased again and now is at 5.5%.
Within the past 24 hours, 59,077 tests for the virus have been completed in the state, bringing the total since the pandemic began to 6,883,314.
As of last night 2,261 people in Illinois were reported to be in the hospital with COVID-19. Of those 489 were in the ICU and 195 were on ventilators.
IDPH is now reporting a total of 350,875 cases, including 9,277 deaths.
