SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — Gov. J-B Pritzker is resuming his daily updates on COVID-19 as all regions of the state are seeing cases increase.
“Thursday we set a record high of cases identified in one day. And then, we beat that record on Friday,” Pritzker said.
Positivity rates and hospitalizations are also on the rise statewide, prompting the need to get information out quickly, according to the governor.
“Please just wear the mask. Honestly, it takes care of most of the transmission issues that we have,” Pritzker said.
Gov. Pritzker’s COVID-19 briefings will be held Monday-Friday and can be heard live online via the governor’s Facebook and Twitter pages.
