PEORIA, Ill. — Peoria Police responded to two ShotSpotter alerts just before 12:30 a.m. Thursday in the 700 block of N. Shipman.
Peoria Public Information Officer Amy Dotson said 26 rounds were fired.
“A short while later, a female arrived at a local hospital with a gunshot wound to the arm,” Dotson said.
Words were exchanged among two groups of people when shots were fired and the victim was shot, according to Dotson.
The incident remains under investigation.
