SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — The Illinois Department of Public Health on Sunday reported 2,727 new cases of COVID-19, including nine additional deaths statewide.
The state’s preliminary seven-day positivity rate for October 4-10 is 4.2%.
Over the weekend, state labs reported 64,047 tests.
As of Saturday night, 1,776 people in Illinois were hospitalized with COVID-19. Of those, 388 patients were in the ICU and 159 patients with COVID were on ventilators.
