SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — 2,905 people between Friday and Saturday tested positive for coronavirus throughout the state of Illinois.
Illinois Department of Public Health reported 31 deaths in that time.
66,256 people were tested for the virus, as the state’s rolling seven-day positivity rate has jumped up to 4%, a half percentage point from where it was one week ago.
1,807 Illinois hospital beds were being occupied as of Friday night by people with the virus or suspected cases of it. 406 of them were in intensive care, while 166 were on ventilators.
