SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — The Illinois Department of Public Health on Thursday reported over 3,000 new confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 32 additional deaths.
With 3,059 cases, this is the first time since May 14 that Illinois has surpassed the 3,000 mark in a single day.
Illinois’ preliminary seven-day positivity rate stands at 3.7%.
Within the last 24 hours, laboratories reported more than 72,000 tests.
As of Wednesday night, 1,755 people in Illinois were hospitalized with COVID-19. 392 patients were in intensive care and 163 were on ventilators.
