SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — 2,206 people throughout Illinois between Thursday and Friday found out they had COVID-19.
47 deaths were reported during that time to Illinois Department of Public Health.
72,691 people were tested during the reporting period, and the state’s rolling seven-day positivity rate ticked downward, to 3.4%.
1,678 Illinoisans were in hospitals. 373 of them were intensive care-level, and 162 were on ventilators.
