PEORIA, Ill. — Four people in Woodford and Tazewell Counties passed away between Thursday and Friday from coronavirus complications.
In Woodford County, a female in her 70s with comorbidities succumbed to the virus. She did live in a long-term care facility, but no further details were available from the Peoria City/County Health Department.
Tazewell County saw three females die, two of whom were in their 80s and one in her 90s. All three lived at Villa of Hollybrook, Pekin.
Those two counties and Peoria County combined for 73 new cases.
Peoria had the most, with 36, followed by Tazewell, with 24, and 13 for Woodford.
58 people were in area hospitals, down from Thursday’s 61. Of the 58, 19 were in intensive care.
The recovery rate fell just below 82%.
