SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — A plethora of tests administered highlight Thursday’s COVID-19 report from the Illinois Department of Public Health.
IDPH said 65,615 specimens were taken between Wednesday and Thursday by labs throughout the state.
2,166 people during that time received positive COVID results.
25 people died from the virus.
The state’s rolling seven-day positivity rate fell to 3.5%.
1,635 hospital beds were in use as of Wednesday night for virus purposes. 359 of those beds were in intensive care units, and 149 ventilators were in use.
