SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — Illinois Department of Public Health reported 1,362 COVID-19 tests between Monday and Tuesday came back positive throughout Illinois.
In that time, 23 deaths were reported.
45,624 people were tested, as the state’s rolling seven-day positivity rate improved to 3.6%.
1,535 people as of Monday night were in hospitals because they have the virus or are suspected to have it. 363 of those patients were in intensive care, and 151 required the use of ventilators.
