UPDATE – Early Saturday morning a pedestrian was struck by a motorcycle and killed.
Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood has identified the victim as 49-year-old Allen Hulin, of Peoria.
Harwood said Hulin “for reasons unknown, had apparently stumbled out into the road and was struck by a westbound motorcycle.” He was pronounced dead at the scene at 1:40am.
Harwood said Hulin died of severe head trauma, multiple blunt force injuries, and likely died instantly.
“Why he stepped out into the street, and the matter in which he did when he did it, is under investigation with the Peoria County Sheriff’s Department. And, I think that will really be a key point in the investigation,” Harwood said.
Toxicology testing is pending.
