PEORIA, Ill. — A man who was apparently shot in the head Thursday night in South Peoria is expected to recover.
Peoria Police were called just before 11:00 to the 1000 block of John Gwynn on three ShotSpotter alerts indicating 22 rounds fired.
An adult male was found sitting in his car in the 1400 block of Adrian Hinton.
His head had suffered what was believed to be a graze wound from gunfire.
He was taken to a local hospital with what were considered non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect is believed to have fired at the victim, who was in his car at the time of the shooting, from another car.
The victim’s car was also damaged.
The incident as of Friday morning was still under investigation.
