PEORIA, Ill. — A Tazewell County woman in her 80s has succumbed to COVID-19.
The Peoria City/County Health Department reported Friday she lived at Villas at Hollybrook in Pekin. The department did not say whether or not she had any underlying illnesses.
Her death was Tazewell’s 17th COVID-related death and the area’s 66th.
Peoria County reported 46 new cases, while Tazewell reported 22, and Woodford said it had three new ones, for a total of 71 for the tri-county.
54 people were in hospitals with the virus. 21 of them were in intensive care.
The area’s recovery rate dropped to 77.7%.
