PEORIA, Ill. – Peoria Police responded to a ShotSpotter alert Sunday morning. Five shots were fired.
Firefighters were called to the scene just after 6 a.m. to the 1700 block of N. Linn after receiving reports of a gunshot victim.
Peoria Public Information Officer Amy Dotson said officers found the male victim with a gunshot wound to the leg.
“He was transported to a local hospital with injuries that were considered non-life-threatening at this time,” Dotson said.
Police do not have any suspects.
The incident remains under investigation.
